2010

My parents and brother Mike came to FL for Christmas in 2010. We also got to meet Mike's girlfriend, Rebecca. We had a really good time together! The tree had ornaments spanning 4 generations and the weather was Christmas-like with un-Florida like temperatures into the 20s at night.

A few days before Christmas, Lydia, Patrick, Mike, Rebecca and I went to Blue Springs. In the winter, the manatee migrate from the coast to the head of springs across Florida because the water temperature is a constant 72 degrees.

We went to a few UCF Knights home games in 2010 .... on their way to their first ever bowl game win which happened to be against the GA Bulldogs.

We were in Georgia for Thanksgiving and had great food and great company! Patrick couldn't make it as he was studying for exams.

In October 2010 Lydia and I were off to our favorite get-away, At Journey's End in St Augustine. We had a very relaxing weekend and the weather was PERFECT!

To celebrate Patrick's birthday he took us to Gemini Springs which is less than 30 mins from our house. It's amazing that such a nice park/springs is so close to home.

I had a business trip to the UK in mid August and a group from the office went on a boat trip down the Thames River on our way to dinner. It was an entirely new view of the UK which I had never seen before. Send me an email if you want an explanation of the picture of the steering wheel at the bottom.

For our 30th anniversary we went to the Sundy House in Delray Beach for the first time. We stayed in the Historic Cottage which is a stand alone house on the property nestled in the beautiful gardens of the property.

Lydia and I were in St. Augustine for a three day weekend to celebrate her birthday.

In early July 2010, Lydia and I were in Savannah to enjoy the historic district and stay once again at the Foley House Inn B&B. We had a very relaxing stay while there; the weather was very nice (not too hot or humid) and the food was fantastic (dinners at Vic's On The River, Olde Pink House and Elizabeth's on 37th).

In late June and early July, I took a week off and Lydia and I did a Southeast tour where we visited Mary and Bob in North Carolina following a few days to visit her family in Georgia.

While in Georgia to visit Lydia's family Bob and I went to Warner Robins to see the Air Force Museum there. They have added on to the facility quite a lot over the years and now have many more plans and museum areas compared to the first time I went there 15 or more years ago.

Jason returned to the US following two years at the seminary in Rome, Italy so we met up with Lydia's family to welcome him home. A couple other seminarians were ordained to the deaconate for Savannah.

It was Memorial Day weekend and we were in Savannah for a track event I was doing. We stayed for the first time at our new favorite hotel in Savannah, the Bohemian.

We went back to our favorite B&B in St. Augustine for a quick get away following a lot of business travel I've been doing recently. Here are some pictures from the oldest schoolhouse and Ripley's Believe it or Not museum which is in the historic Castle Warden in St. Augustine.

My team's semi-annual offsite was in San Francisco and we had a great time doing a scavenger hunt, the Go Game, as well as a cooking competition. Of course, we also worked very hard during the day!

In late 2009, early 2010 we completed a kitchen remodel in our house. We replaced the counter tops with granite, replaced all of the appliances, had some custom matching cabinetry installed and totally replaced the center island.
